  1. I think that you have missed the #1 Song sung in churches during Easter Service. The song, “Because He Lives” by the Gaithers is missing from your list. I find that very odd. Don’t you?

  2. It would have been very appreciated if this list was sent out about a month before Easter to make plans and practice songs ahead of time. Maybe next year?

  3. I’m kind of delighted that only 2 of the songs I’ve picked make your lists… 1 of them a hymn! “Christ The Lord Is Risen Today” and “Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)”. And we’re a 99% contemporary church. Here’s our songs for Sunday:

“Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)” by Kari Jobe
“Christ The Lord Is Risen Today” the hymn
“Christ Is Risen” by Matt Maher
    “My Victory” by David Crowder
    “Mercy” by Matt Redman
“O The Blood” by Gateway Worship
    “Amen” by Matt Maher

  4. Great list but one of the most beautiful, poignant Easter hymns of all time is MY SONG IS LOVE UNKNOWN:- Lyrics-Samuel Crossman/ Music-John Ireland ( best music setting!)…should be on every list. Also, you don’t have many Graham Kendrick songs in there, if any…This British composer of the 20th/21st century has written many brilliant Easter themed songs which many people sing in many churches in Australia. Cheers. Deb Pattison
